Couple Online Retreat

At times, we all struggle with relationships with our family and friends. Couple’s therapist, David Blanchard’s 5-part webinar series will guide you and your partner through research-based concepts and tools that will help you improve your relationships during these difficult times. Each week, we will explore how you can bring a better self to your relationship so that you can manage inevitable conflict, creating the resilience, develop friendship and intimacy, and create the intentional family that you desire and deserve.

Registration Deadline February 15th at 5:00pm

Requirements:
Agree to attending all five dates with both yourself and your partner.
Agree to committing to completing assignments and readings between sessions.
Agree to be able to join the conference with your partner, using the same webcam to access the Zoom meeting room.
As all as ensuring that you have the privacy to participate fully.


Once you have registered, you will receive a password for the participant portal with information about login and conference materials.

David currently offers therapy at Couples Counseling ATL in Virginia Highlands, where he enjoys working with couples and individuals looking to improve their lives and relationships. Workshop Information

Understanding Individual Well-Being for a Better Relationship – March 1st – 7:00pm – 9:00pm

Key Concepts and Competencies
We will offer ways to improve individual well-being in order to better understand our contributions to strong relationships. Participants will be given evidenced-based goal setting strategies to build better habits. Participants will be given exercises and reflections to explore their personal values and histories in order to better understand their contributions to their current relationship.

Understanding the Systems and Cycles of Relationships – March 15th – 7:00pm – 8:30pm

Key Concepts and Competencies
We will offer current research and techniques to better understand root causes for relational conflict and disagreements. Participants will have a better understanding how values, childhood histories, emotional triggers, and cognitive understanding can encourage better conversations. Participants will be presented tools for understanding the cycles of their relational patterns, as well as the dreams and desires that rest below our fights.

Creating a System of Friendship and Intimacy – March 29th – 7:00pm – 8:30pm

Key Concepts and Competencies
We will offer concepts and a model for better understanding of key family processes in resilience. Participants will be presented ways that resiliency are tied to conflict management and a blueprint for increased friendship and intimacy within relationships. Participants will be presented tools for improving their sense of friendship, as well as foundational exercises to a better sexual and romantic relationship.

Creating a System of Management for Conflict – April 12th – 7:00pm – 8:30pm

Key Concepts and Competencies
We will present research-based concepts and techniques for improved relational communication. Participants will have an increased knowledge of communication techniques that improve understanding and emotional connection within relationships. Participants will be given tools for better conversations about gridlocked repetitive conflict.

Strengthening Connection through Intentional Rituals – April 26th – 7:00pm – 8:30pm

Key Concepts and Competencies
We will present key concepts for better understanding of family processes for increased resilience. Participants will have an increased understanding of specific ways to increase resiliency within a relationship. Participants will be presented tools for exploring the meaning of family rituals and celebrations and their relationship to creating a sacred place for family shared meaning and connections.
